Our ethos is centred around three key principles:
Character – understanding who you are and who you want to be. We encourage our pupils to develop confidence, resilience, self-belief and ambition so they can grow both personally and academically.
Community – recognising the importance of links to others and the wider world. We are proud of the supportive relationships within our school and the partnerships we build with families, schools and the wider community to ensure every young person feels valued and connected.
Currency – ensuring learning prepares pupils for their future. We want every student to leave River Tyne Academy with the skills, knowledge, qualifications and experiences they need to move successfully into further education, employment and adult life.
As Headteacher, I am proud to lead a dedicated team who are passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers, rediscover their strengths and realise their potential. Together, we strive to create an environment where every student feels understood, supported and empowered to take positive next steps.
We look forward to working in partnership with students, families, schools, and the wider community as we continue to build a culture of opportunity, belonging, and success.
