At RTMAT, we offer services to mainstream secondary schools. Our aim is to improve outcomes for children and young people providing bespoke assessment of intervention for learners and upskilling staff through training.
Outreach
Who we are
Our outreach team are experienced staff and have a wide range of expertise working with children who, at times present with challenging behaviours, stemming from a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Our services
The Outreach support will be tailored to the pupils’ and school’s individual needs.
The Outreach offer includes, but is not limited to:
- Learner focused support: one of our highly experienced staff will visit a mainstream setting to provide them with advice and suggested strategies to support a child’s learning and well-being.
- 1-1 assessment and intervention relating to needs such as SEMH and support with transitions
- Individual staff support: colleagues from local schools are invited to spend time in one of our academies to observe pedagogical strategies and personal development interventions used within our setting. We also work closely with teacher training providers to facilitate their wider school experiences.
- School focused support: we provide whole school support, training and workshops. We work closely with SENDCos, leadership teams, teachers and learning support staff to support their development and promote inclusion.
We believe that for outreach to be successful it should be tailored to your schools needs and therefore we will work with you throughout the process to ensure the package is successful for your school, staff and learners.
